23 animals evacuated to pet center during 'Kristine' response

A total of 23 pets were evacuated to a designated pet evacuation center established by the Quezon City government at the Bagong Silangan evacuation site on Thursday, October 24.

The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) said that the center accommodated seven adult dogs, 11 puppies, and five cats.

The Quezon City Veterinary Department (QCVD) is providing essential supplies, including dog food, water, and anti-rabies vaccines, to ensure the safety and well-being of the pets.

The initiative was set up to protect animals alongside their owners during the response to Typhoon Kristine.
