PRC releases results for October 2024 chemists, chemical technicians licensure exams


A total of 592 examinees passed the Chemists Licensure Examination, and 2,110 passed the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) this October.

The PRC, on Oct. 21, announced that 592 out of 1,088 passed the Chemists Licensure Examination (computer-based and paper & pencil), while 2,110 out of 2,711 passed the Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination conducted by the Board of Chemistry in various locations, including the National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.

The Board of Chemistry members who administered the licensure examinations, as stated by the PRC, included Chairperson Adoracion P. Resurreccion and members Soledad S. Castañeda and Ma. Theresa C. Cayton.

According to the PRC, the results were released three working days after the last day of the exams.

Meanwhile, the PRC announced that starting December 20, registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be conducted online.

Instructions for initial registration are available at www.prc.gov.ph.

The PRC reminded examinees that those registering are required to bring the downloaded and duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, the Notice of Admission (for identification purposes only), two passport-sized pictures (colored, with a white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope.

Successful examinees are required to register in person and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals, the PRC added.

Additionally, the PRC noted that those who failed to pass the Chemists Licensure Examination but obtained a rating of at least 70 percent in any two subjects may register as Chemical Technicians.

The PRC will announce the date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of the newly licensed professionals at a later date.
