The team left Manila at around 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, bringing with them essential rescue equipment.

They brought with them two "Ondoy" rescue boats with outboard motors, two rescue trucks, a mobile water filtration system, and a transporter truck.

The mayor assured Naga residents that help is on the way.

"Help is coming," Lacuna-Pangan said.

She thanked the MDRRMO staff for their efforts and urged them to stay safe during their mission.

Mag-ingat kayo (Thank you very much to the staff of the MDRRMO who will be heading to Naga tonight. Stay safe),” she said.

Lacuna-Pangan assured Manila residents that the city remains fully prepared to respond to any emergency that may arise from the typhoon.

I assure you that Manila is fully prepared, and we have enough personnel to address any needs of our city related to any storm or disaster, even as we send a rescue and emergency team to Bicol),” she added.
