DigiPlus to double R&D capability by yearend

Publicly-listed DigiPlus Interactive Corporation is strengthening its position in the digital entertainment landscape with the strategic expansion of its Research and Development (R&D) capability.

The firm is also launching the “DigiPlus Technology Bootcamp” to foster Filipino tech talents as part of its commitment to next-gen digital experiences, combining advanced technology with rigorous research to develop products tailored specifically to Filipino audiences.

Over the past year, DigiPlus expanded its Local Development Team by over 200 percent, with plans to double that growth by year’s end.

Since its digital pivot in 2022, DigiPlus has allocated significant resources to research and technology, enabling the company to develop platforms and Filipino games that set it apart from competition.

“Innovation is part of our DNA at DigiPlus, and we are driven by a commitment to elevate the player experience with the right technology,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco.

He added that “our R&D team is at the heart of this transformation, and we are on the lookout for the brightest Filipino tech talents to develop the next generation of products that will shape the future of DigiPlus.”

The DigiPlus Technology Bootcamp is an intensive five-month program designed to equip aspiring tech professionals with the technical mastery, hands-on experience, and mentorship needed to excel in the fast-evolving digital landscape.

The program covers core technical skills to advanced projects, utilizing the latest tools, frameworks, and methodologies that drive innovation in digital entertainment.

The bootcamp is built on three core pillars: real-world experience through live projects, expert mentorship from industry leaders, and career development that includes both technical and soft skills training.

DigiPlus leverages a tech-first approach to ensure participants emerge with expertise and the confidence to navigate the demands of today’s tech-driven economy.

The first batch of the bootcamp began last Sept. 30 with 34 participants. Those who successfully pass all evaluations and meet the required qualifications will have a strong opportunity to be hired as regular employees by the end of their training course.

The firm is actively hiring for backend, frontend, iOS, Android, and Quality Assurance (QA) roles, with each position paired with dedicated mentors.

The company’s advanced QA program stands out as it offers fresh graduates immediate immersion in a highly technical environment, enabling them to work directly on product development from day one.

With the launch of the DigiPlus Technology Bootcamp and its ongoing commitment to R&D, DigiPlus solidifies its ambition to stay at the forefront of the digital entertainment industry in the Philippines, continually pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation.
