Woman's body found floating near Tanza, Cavite

CAVITE – A woman’s body was found floating near the waters of Tanza on Tuesday, October 22.

According to the report from the Police Regional Office 4A, the Tanza Municipal Police Station received a phone call from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) about the incident.

Initial investigation stated that the woman, believed to have drowned, was discovered by people onboard a fishing vessel in the area.

PCG personnel stationed in Tanza, along with Cavite Maritime Police Station and Regional Maritime Unit 4A, responded to the report and retrieved the body.

The police said no signs of foul play were found during ocular inspection.

Authorities are investigating the identity of the victim.
