Woman caught sneaking shabu into jail


PAGBILAO, Quezon – A woman was arrested after shabu and marijuana were found in her mouth while visiting an inmate at the Talipan District Jail here on Monday afternoon, Oct. 22.

Jail Officer 1 Leizl Keith Abegail Agar Queñano was inspecting food and belongings and conducting a body search on the suspect Marlene when she found a small rounded package wrapped with black electrical tape in her mouth.

The package was opened and yielded 12.15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P82,620 and a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing 0.88 grams worth P106.60.

Meanwhile, authorities dismantled a suspected drug den during a buy-bust operation in Lucena City, Quezon on Monday.

The alleged maintainer and six patrons were arrested.

The suspects were identified as Jeric Oczon, alias Biboy, 34, tagged as regional target-listed and drug den maintainer; and customers Alexis Bryan Cayno, 29; Owen Villanueva, 46; Christopher Wong 31; Rodel Alcontado, 42; Ali Andang, 39, and Susan Ibañez Jav, 46.

Seized from them were eight grams of suspected shabu worth P54,000, buy-bust money, and drug paraphernalia. Suspects face drug-related cases.
