Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) Party-list Rep. Margarita "Migs" Nograles has called out Davao City 1st district Rep. Paolo Duterte for posting the results of an old drug test to go along with his challenge for her to undergo the same test.

"I appreciate that you have posted your drug test result but this is an old test done last August," Nograles said in her statement-response to Rep. Duterte on late Tuesday night, Oct. 22.

"For the sake of transparency and accountability to the people of Davao City, I’d like to invite you to join me for a new drug test tomorrow (Oct. 23) at 1:30 p.m. at Hi Precision Laboratory in Bajada, Davao City," House deputy majority leader said.

"Let’s do it at the same time and together show the people of Davao City that we are not afraid to prove ourselves. Hope to see you there," added the lawyer-solon.

Rep. Duterte, son of former president Rodrigo Duterte, is a reelectionist for his district seat in the May 2025 mid-term elections. He will be facing Nograles, a member of the "Young Guns" bloc in the House of Representatives.

Earlier Tuesday, Rep. Duterte posted his drug test result for the public to see along with the following challenge:

"I dare my opponent for the position of representative of Davao City's first district, who is said to be a member of the so-called 'young goons' in Congress — or is it 'guns' — to also undergo a hair follicle test," he said in a obvious jab at Nograles.

"This challenge is for the sake of the public and our constituents to guarantee that those who serve the people are clean and free from any involvement in illegal drugs," Rep. Duterte said.

"I have already taken the test, but if necessary, I am still willing to take another hair follicle test, and do it  as many times as needed, to show the public that they have nothing to worry about when it comes to the integrity of their leaders," the former deputy speaker further said.

The lady solon is the daughter of the late former House Speaker Prospero Nograles.
