LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Rep. Fernando "Didi" Cabredo of the third district of Albay appealed for immediate help from the national government for people of a barangay in the town of Libon submerged by flood caused by severe tropical storm “Kristine.”

Cabredo said that as of Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 23, Barangay Santa Cruz is still submerged in 12 feet-high floodwater.
He urged authorities to deploy rescue boats and provide food, water, and medicines for affected individuals.
Cabredo said that Barangay Cruz is situated near Lake Bato in Bato town, Camarines Sur province.
Once the lake overflows, its water swamps nearby barangays, he said.
Residents from children to adults are staying on the roof of their houses due to floodwater, Cabredo noted.
