“Ibig sabihin nito, lahat ng concerned response agencies ay naka-standby na at handang tumugon kung sakaling lumala ang sitwasyon. Nakahanda rin ang mga barangay na rumesponde kung kakailanganin (This means all concerned response agencies are on standby and ready to respond if the situation worsens. Barangays are also ready to respond if needed),” Biazon posted on Facebook on Oct. 23.

He said city government personnel, vehicles, equipment for response, and food relief packs are ready.

The city government also ordered billboards to be taken down and prohibited fishing at Laguna Lake.

According to the NDRRMC, as of Oct. 23, Tropical Storm “Kristine” has affected 77,910 families or 382,302 people in 14 provinces or 90 cities and municipalities across the country.

In a memorandum issued on Oct. 22, Biazon said “the Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-Emergency Operations Center (MMDRRMC-EOC) will be on EPR Protocol Bravo (Moderate Risk) in connection with the Effects of Tropical Storm ‘Kristine’ effective 5:00 PM, 22 October 2024 (Tuesday).”

“With this regard, the Muntinlupa City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is raised to blue alert status effective today 22 October 2024 at 5:00 PM.
