Colegio San Agustin graduate crowned Miss Bacolod MassKara 2024


BACOLOD CITY – An Accounting Information System graduate of Colegio San Agustin Bacolod bested 14 other candidates in the Sapphire edition of this year’s Miss Bacolod MassKara.

Princess Ella Olmilla was hailed Sapphire Queen during the coronation of Miss Bacolod MassKara 2024 at the University of Saint La Salle Coliseum here on Oct. 19.

Inspired by her grandparents, Olmilla’s wit, radiant beauty, and captivating personality impressed the judges, making her stood out in the competition.

She won Best in Swimwear, Best in Evening Gown, and several corporate awards during the pageant.

In a media interview after the pageant, Olmilla encouraged aspiring beauty queens to chase their dream and achieve their full potential. “I was once that little girl who dreamed of having a crown. I hope my journey inspires you,” she said.

An advocate for elderly care, Olmilla dedicated the crown to her five grandparents, especially her late grandmother, Ella, who raised her during her childhood.

“This has been a dream of my grandmother ever since I was 16, and I believe I not only carried this journey with me but also carried her legacy,” she said.

Olmilla said that she will prepare very well for the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

“Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) is a dream for me, and I will make sure not to let any Bacolodnon down,” she added.

Hospitality Management student Akeisha Nicole Nuarin was first runner-up and won the Best in Festival award and Cindy Valencia was second runner-up and Best in Talent.

Jhudiel Micha Maris Lianda was Miss Congeniality and Sophia Zaragoza was Most Photogenic and Darling of Social Media.

Other candidates were  Ella Gozon, Quennie Kuan, Angelica Gwen Tenero, Bea Tricia de La Peña, Mary Heloise Ginson, Gesille Mae Sullivan, Gwyn Maricon Lopez, Jasmine Mahilum, Ed Marie Aguilar, and Cailah Jhane Delarma.

The pageant was hosted by actor Marco Gumabao and Cristalle Belo-Pitt with a special performance by GMA artist Patrick Quiroz. 

This year’s pageant was directed by Rodney Ascalon and chaired by Carlos Durana.
