House Speaker Martin Romualdez didn't hold back his romantic side in his birthday message for his wife, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez, on the occasion of her 51st birthday on Tuesday, Oct. 22. 

"Happiest birthday, Cong. Yedda Romualdez! Today, we celebrate not just your special day, but the remarkable person you are," Speaker Romualdez, Leyte's 1st district congressman, wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday. 

"I deeply admire how you gracefully balance the demands of public service while always making time for us, constantly showing love and support in everything we do together," the House leader said of Rep. Romualdez, who is a former beauty queen. 

"On this special day, I wish you all the joy and happiness—the same happiness that you generously share with others. I am so grateful to have you by my side as we walk through life together. Here’s to you, today and always. I love you now and forever. ❤️," he further wrote. 

Rep. Romualdez is the chairperson of the House Committee on Accounts. 

She represented the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in São Paulo, Brazil where she finished third runner-up. 

The Romualdez couple has four children.
