Parañaque, Pasay LGUs suspend afternoon classes due to TS Kristine

The Parañaque City government announced the suspension of afternoon classes in all levels, both in public and private schools, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, due to Tropical Storm "Kristine." 

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the declaration of class suspension was made based on City Ordinance No. 2022-46.

Olivarez advised residents in need of assistance due to typhoon Kristine to call the local hotline at 8820-PAQUE (7783), emergency hotline at 911 and for Smart at 0961-096-6249.

He also alerted offices delivering emergency services to be on alert and immediately respond to the needs of city residents.

In Pasay City, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano declared the suspension of classed at 1:00 p.m. from Kinder to Senior High School, both in public and private schools.

Rubiano said the suspension of classes was made based on the Department of Education (DepEd) Order No.37 S2022 on the automatic suspension of classes once the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issues a strong tropical cyclone wind signal in Metro Manila.
