P850K shabu, assault rifle seized in Makati buy-bust op

Two high-value individuals (HVIs) wanted for illegal drugs were arrested in a buy-bust operation led by the Makati City Police, Southern Police District (SPD), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on October 21.

The SPD identified the suspects as "Toy," 26 and "Jhian," 22. The two were nabbed in Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City.

Officers recovered 125 grams of shabu worth P850,000 and an M4 carbine fitted with a sound suppressor.

The seized drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit (SPDFU) for chemical analysis.

Alias Toy was charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act while alias Jhian was charged for violating Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, the SPD said.
