Man arrested for illegal possession of drugs in Pasay City

A 30-year-old man was arrested by members of the Pasay city police Substation 7 for possession of P275, 808 worth of shabu on Sunday, October 20.

The Southern Police District said the suspect, identified as alias “Kuya,” 30, a member of the Sputnik gang was arrested at around 1:00 p.m. by personnel of Substation 7 by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Kirk M. Aniñon of the Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) Branch XLIV for violation of smoking in public place with a recommended bail of P3,000.

However, during the standard procedure of conducting a body search, police operatives discovered in the possession of the suspect 40.56 grams of shabu placed inside a coin purse worth P275,808.

The police said the suspect, who was detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest, will face additional charges of illegal possession of drugs.
