A total of P49.82 billion worth of illegal drugs, controlled precursors and essential chemicals (CPECS) and laboratory equipment were seized from July 1, 2022 to Sept. 30 this year, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

In its latest report, the PDEA said that 6,481.16 kilograms (kgs) worth of shabu, 115,081 pieces of ecstasy, 75.69 kgs of cocaine and 5,626.80 kgs of marijuana were seized during the said period.

The PDEA noted that 84,676 anti-drug operations were conducted where 114,892 drug personalities were arrested including 7,364 included in the high-value target (HVT) roster.

With the government’s relentless illegal drug operation, anti-narcotics operatives dismantled 1,181 drug dens and one clandestine laboratory nationwide.

The numbers of the National Anti-Drug Campaign indicated that 29,211 barangays are now drug-cleared with only 6,292 barangays remaining drug-affected in the whole country.

A drug-cleared barangay refers to a barangay that is previously classified as drug-affected and underwent a barangay drug clearing program which has to be declared as such by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC).
