All good things come to an end.

But for Falcons APBren, the end of their reign as the M-series World Champions meant a well-deserved rest after a long time of keeping the MLBB throne.

FCAP head coach Francis “Duckeyy” Glindro admitted that his crew has been feeling the fatigue from their busy year that saw them participate in international events while juggling organization and Sibol national team duties.

“I think the entire year and a half na nagco-compete kami internationally, all those stresses, all those mental fatigue are probably taking its toll,” said Duckeyy after FCAP failed to get a chance to defend their M-series title after losing to Aurora Gaming in lower bracket finals of the MPL Philippines Season 14.

“Nakita ko pagdating sa performances nila sa mga scrims namin sa training sessions namin, sa discussions namin, parang nakakaramdam na ako sa kanila ng fatigue,” he added.

Since 2023, APBren has gone around the globe, winning IESF World Esports Championship title, Southeast Asian Games gold and the M5 World Championship. 

It also ruled Games of the Future 2024 before placing second in the MPL PH S13 and 2024 Mid-Season Cup as well as claiming the Snapdragon Pro Series crown.

But instead of sulking on one corner after the end of their reign, members of the APBren are relishing the chance to finally get an extended break and take some time off the Land of Dawn.

“I’m ironically happy na makakapag pahinga yung mga bata. I think they deserve it so much,” said Duckeyy.

FCAP roamer Rowgie “Owgwen” Unigo said the same views as he looks forward to finally spending more time with his wife and four-month old baby.

“Nasa isip na rin naman namin, it’s either pahinga kami or M-series kasi ang tagal na rin namin na kasali sa mga international,” said Owgwen.

“Tingin ko deserve din namin ngayon na magpahinga, ilet go muna namin sa ibang teams yung M-series,” he added.

“Masaya kami na makakapagpasko kami ng maayos masaya ako para kay Owgwen kasi may baby starting a family makakapagpasko sya with his chikiting and wife.
