Police Lt. Col. Antonio Benitez Jr., head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said the suspect was under probation for a previous drug offense.

Benitez said they conducted the operation after they received information a month ago that the suspect allegedly returned to the illegal drugs trade.

Also recovered from the suspect were the P2,000 marked money, a digital weighing scale, and P300.

The operation was part of the Bacolod City Police Office campaign to combat the entry of illegal drugs here, particularly during the ongoing 45th MassKara Festival.
