“October 01, 2024 - First Filer Comelec Pateros - Coun. Jojo Nicdao Independent Councilor, District 1, Pateros Metro Manila,” Nicdao posted on Facebook.

Nicdao was a former councilor of Pateros. He ran for reelection in the 2022 elections but failed to win a seat in the municipal council.

Voters in Pateros will elect a mayor, vice mayor, congressman and six councilors in each of the two districts.

Incumbent Pateros Mayor Miguel Ponce III is in his third and last term and will not seek any elective position in next year’s polls, saying, “I want to give chance to others.”

Pateros Municipal Administrator and former vice mayor Gerald German will be running for mayor.
