In Pulse Asia’s nationwide non-commissioned survey conducted from September 6 to 13, Binay ranked fourth to ninth among senatorial preferences. In the previous survey, the mayor was ranked 14th to 23rd.

She also posted substantial gains in the SWS survey commissioned by think thank Stratbase from September 14 to 23 after placing 9th to 10th. She previously ranked 16th in March.

Pulse Asia conducted its senatorial preference survey for the third quarter among 2,400 registered voters nationwide, while SWS covered 1,500 respondents.

On September 26, the mayor made it to the Magic 12 of the administration's senatorial lineup for the midterm elections in May 2025.

The administration slate also includes Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Benhur Abalos, Sen. Pia Cayetano, former Sen. Ping Lacson, Sen. Lito Lapid, Sen. Imee Marcos, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Sen. Bong Revilla, former Senate Pres. Tito Sotto, Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino, Rep. Erwin Tulfo, and House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

Binay took her oath as a member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) on May 28. It was her husband, Makati City 2nd District Rep. Luis Campos, who administered the mayor's oath at the NPC Clubhouse in Quezon City.

The NPC recently entered into a coalition with President Marcos' Partido Federal ng Pilipinas party.
