FIRST Lady Liza Marcos inaugurates a new hospital in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

The First Lady was accompanied by former Mayor Cezar Quiambao, Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao, and other officials.

Quiambao said JKQ Medical is a six-story, a 100-bed, and Level 2 general hospital built on a two-hectare lot.

He said JKQ Medical, when it opens within the year, will have major and moderate surgery operating rooms, primary healthcare services, laboratory and diagnostic services, emergency and acute care, and intensive care admission units serving residents here and nearby towns and manned by 250 doctors supported by 350 support medical staff.

Quiambao, a doctor and adviser to Mayor Quiambao, described the hospital as sanctuary of healing.

"This is more than just a project," Dr. Quiambao said. "It is the realization of our fondest dream to create a 'sanctuary of healing' where people could find solace, support, and top-quality medical care."

"In JKQ Medical, we assure that every patient who enters the hospital's doors will receive and enjoy the highest standard of health care, irrespective of his or her background and circumstance," he added.

JKQ Medical, to be managed by The Medical City,  is named in memory of Julius K. Quiambao, son of Dr. Quiambao, who died a few years ago.
