The Northern Lights picked up the pieces from a series opening defeat, stringing together three straight victories before bouncing back from a Game 5 collapse with a masterful performance in the series clincher to advance to the grand finals against Fnatic Onic Philippines.

Veteran internationalists Edward “Edward” Dapadap and Renejay “Renejay” Barcase stepped up in the crunch, making the perfect initiation in the series clinching Lord dance in Game 6.

Edward, on the Edith pick, triggered the massive clash at the 13th minute mark, executing an Earth Shatter-flicker combo that caught and knocked up two heroes.

The rest of the Aurora followed up on the initiation and took down both Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson and David “Flaptzy” Canon forcing FCAP to retreat.

While they secured the Lord, Aurora players forced the issue and went for the chase against the remaining AP.Bren players.

A well-timed circling eagle ultimate from Renejay’s Mathilda then knocked up two more players from AP.Bren, giving Aurora the chance for to lock on the base and bag the win.

Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto was untouchable on his surprise jungle Xborg pick, finishing with a clean 7-0-4 KDA while Edward and Renejay capped a series-long brilliance with 2-1-5 and 2-1-12 tallies respectively.

It was actually AP.Bren which drew first blood in the series after a dominant 21-3 win. Aurora, however, retaliated with an 11-6 win to level the series. Riding the crest of that triumph, Aurora essayed back-to-back victories in Games 3 and 4 with 16-5 and 11-2 win to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

Not going down without a fight however was FCAP which overcame a huge deficit in Game 5 behind the clutch Lord steals from Kyletzy. Riding on the strength on its late game lineup, the Bees pulled off a tight 17-12 win to force another contest.
