Caraga’s sixth most wanted caught in Surigao del Sur


BUTUAN CITY – Police have caught the sixth most wanted person in the Caraga region in San Miguel town, Surigao del Sur province.

In a report to Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro, Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office Director Police Col. Harry B. Domingo identified the suspect as Ka Eloy.

Ka Eloy, who was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Libas Sud, was an alleged member of the New People’s Army.

The suspect was arrested on a warrant for murder with no bail recommended issued by the Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 27, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur dated Sept. 25, 2024.

The arrested person was informed of his constitutional rights under Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Warning during the arrest and was already under the custody of San Miguel Municipal Police Station for proper disposition,” Domingo said.

“We are intensifying our implementation on the campaign against criminalities and other illegal activities, Domingo said.

Hence, operations like these will continue and we will not stop until the province of Surigao del Sur has zero wanted person and zero illegal activities.” 

PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer urged the public to continuously support the PNP in its campaign against all forms of criminality  to attain a secure and peaceful Caraga.
