Businessman dies after being electrocuted by live wire


BACOLOD CITY – A 38-year-old businessman died after he was electrocuted by a live wire while driving his motorcycle in Barangay 4, Isabela, Negros Occidental on Thursday night, Oct. 17.

Police Major Ellendie Rebusquillo, municipal police chief, identified the victim as Rodolfo Parparan of Barangay 2, Isabela town.

Rebusquillo said a truck loaded with sugarcane detached a live wire of an electric post which fell on the victim and electrocuted him.

The truck failed to notice the incident and drove away.

Residents discovered the victim who was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Police are checking a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in the area to locate the truck and identify the driver.
