Antipolo LGU issues ‘Undas’ guidelines


The local government of Antipolo City released on Friday, October 18, the guidelines to ensure peace and order in the upcoming All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

City Mayor Jun Ynares urged residents and visitors to follow the rules set by the city government for All Saints' and All Souls' Days.

In a Facebook post, he said grave cleaning and repainting in public cemeteries will be allowed until October 30.

Public cemeteries will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on October 31 and November 1, and from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 2.

Regular operating hours will resume from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting November 3.

Burials and cremations in public cemeteries will only be accepted until October 29, with services resuming on November 4.

Private cemeteries may have different operating hours.

The city government will strictly prohibit dangerous objects, gambling, loud noise, and alcoholic drinks within cemeteries.

Visitors are advised to bring sanitizer or alcohol and refrain from going to burial sites if they have a fever, cough, cold, or eye redness.

Children can accompany their families, but parents and guardians are reminded to ensure their safety.

The city government will implement a one-entrance, one-exit policy at the cemeteries.

Public assistance centers will be established, nd the Antipolo Philippine National Police will set up police assistance desks in public cemeteries.

Any kind of vehicle will not be allowed in public cemeteries, but the city government will provide designated parking areas outside.

Private cemeteries are encouraged to implement their health protocols in coordination with the City Health Office.
