2 men arrested for shabu, unlicensed gun in Pateros


Two men were arrested for shabu and possession of an unlicensed firearm in Pateros on Oct. 17. 

The suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted at about 9 p.m. by the Pateros Police Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Sta. Ana. 

The police identified the suspects as alias Marc, 46, and alias Melchor, 54, a construction worker.

Recovered from the suspects were 10 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing two grams valued at P13,600, two P100 bills, a cellular phone, and cash amounting to P150.

Marc also yielded a .38-caliber revolver without a serial number loaded with three pieces of live ammunition. 

The suspects are under the custody of the Pateros Police and will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
