Marikina LGU gears up for Undas 2024

The local government of Marikina City has started to conduct clean-up, grass-cutting, and tree-trimming operations in the city’s cemeteries as part of its preparations for the observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day in November.

It said that the cleaning operations, which started on October 9, are being conducted at Our Lady of the Abandoned (OLA) Cemetery, Aglipay Cemetery, Holy Child Cemetery, Barangka Public Cemetery, and Loyola Memorial Park.

Mayor Marcy Teodoro reminded city government departments, barangays, and cemetery administrators to keep these burial grounds clean, organized, and safe to ensure a peaceful observance of Undas.

Teodoro also directed the deployment of enforcers and emergency responders in every cemetery to respond promptly in case of emergencies.

Every year, the mayor personally oversees the city's preparations for Undas and consistently reminds everyone of the importance of unity and collaboration for a successful observance of their departed loved ones.
