The fund was sourced from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Dr. Anna Maria Laarni Pornan, CDRRMO head, said.

Pornan said that it is equipped with four computers, an interactive television, and seven closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.

The mobile command center is set to arrive on Thursday, Oct. 17, and will be used during the highlights of the ongoing 45th MassKara Festival.

She said that it will be initially used at the Paglaum Sports Complex for the MassKara Arena Competition on October 27, the last day of the festival.

Pornan said that it can also be used in emergency cases and disaster response.

She said that they pushed through with the acquisition of the vehicle  to enable them to monitor the situation on the ground.

“It can monitor weather, any event simultaneously,” she said.
