MPD to deploy 1,000 policemen for Undas 2024


The Manila Police District (MPD) will be deploying around 1,000 policemen for Undas 2024, MPD Chief Arnold Thomas Ibay said.

"These numbers covers checkpoints, deployment in cemeteries, bus stations, and other places of convergence," Ibay said.

He added preparations for the holiday season is in full swing which include a tactical and strategic plan for the safety of everyone who will be visiting Manila North and South Cemeteries.

The force is expecting millions of people from all parts of Metro Manila and neighboring provinces to visit their deceased family members in the two cemeteries.

Meanwhile, the local government of Manila said the cleaning and painting of the graves is until October 25 only.

It also reminded the public that the cremation services is suspended until October 28 and that the MNC will be closed from October 27 to November 3.

All MNC services will be reopened on November 4.
