Farmer shot dead in front of 7-year-old son

BACOLOD CITY – A 54-year-old farmer was gunned down in front of his live-in partner and their seven-year-old son in Sitio Huwebesan, Barangay Marcelo, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Wednesday morning, October 16.

Police Major Wilfredo Benoman Jr., Calatrava police chief, identified the victim as Danny Brazona.

Benoman said the couple was accompanying their son to school when a group of unidentified armed men blocked their path.

The suspects shot the victim and fled and left his partner and son unharmed.

Brazona died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds. 

Benoman said follow-up investigation is ongoing.
