Seaman killed in motorcycle accident in Cagayan

PEÑABLANCA, Cagayan – A seaman was killed in a motorcycle accident in Barangay Cabbo here on Sunday, October 13.

Police Major George Maribbay, municipal chief of police, said the victim, Mike, of Barangay Cabasan, this town, lost control of his motorcycle while speeding on a downhill curve portion of the road and accidentally crashed into a parked van.

The victim sustained serious head injuries and was declared dead in a hospital.

Meanwhile, a drunken man walking on the middle of the road died after he was accidentally hit by a Toyota Hi-Ace van in Barangay San Antonino, Burgos, Isabela on Saturday evening, October 12.

Police Major Jonathan Ramos, chief of police of Burgos, identified the victim as Emerson Labor, a resident of Barangay Dallig Viejo, Burgos.

The victim was declared dead in a hospital due to serious injuries.

The van driver, Odilon Malsi, surrendered to the police after the accident and has settled with the victim’s family.
