VP Sara gets a taste of Baclaran street food

Is there anything more Filipino than eating deep-fried fish balls and quail eggs along the streets of Baclaran?

That’s exactly what Vice President Sara Duterte was seen doing on Friday, Oct. 18, when she went for a mass in Baclaran Church and had food tripping outside the church’s premises.

“VP Inday Sara Duterte bumisita sa Brgy. Baclaran namamasyal, nag foodtrip at nagsimba sa Baclaran Church (VP Inday Sara Duterte visited Brgy. Baclaran to go around, had foodtrip and attended mass in Baclaran Church),” the Facebook page of Baclaran Tourism Official said.

It also shared photos of the Vice President while she was buying sticks of fish balls and kwek-kwek, or deep fried quail eggs wrapped in orange pancake, from one of the stalls outside the church.

She was also seen waiting patiently as her order got ready, and humored some passersby who took a selfie with her.

Duterte, who’s been lately in the news for criticizing President Marcos after having a falling out with him, was also pictured chatting with the public as they flock to her.

Some were seen taking photos and videos of the Vice President as she went on her street food adventure.
