ILOILO CITY – Police apprehended 475 individuals in 337 operations in Western Visayas region from October 7 to 13.
Statistics show that the commitment of personnel and their unit commander’s patience and dedication toward their sworn duties, and of the community’s vital information, led to these successful law enforcement operations, said Police Regional Office-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky.
One-hundred ninety wanted persons were nabbed in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
One-hundred fifty-four persons were caught for illegal gambling. Also nabbed were 107 drug pushers, including 22 high-value individuals. Twenty-four were arrested for loose firearms.
