E-wallets such as GCash have gained momentum in recent years. More stores today are accepting GCash transactions, which is beneficial for contactless transactions and for people who don’t have enough cash.

For students, GCash reminds them that having an account can be beneficial in many ways.

You can use GCash to pay for subscriptions on Canva Pro, Spotify Premium, Netflix, or CapCut Premium.

More on this, GCash offers Lucky Load. Every time you Buy Load, you win a ticket to play that may get you rewards such as vouchers for FoodPanda, Grab, and other various apps.

GCash is also tapping into banking. With the GSave, you can open up a bank account without the hassle of going to a bank physically yourself. If you go to GSave, you’ll be able to choose from UNO digital bank, Maybank, BPI, or CIMB, to open your savings account. There’s a 6% interest per year, included.

Being a fully verified GCash user gives you access to all these features of GCash and more. It also lifts restrictions on cash-ins, fund transfers, and withdrawals.

GCash, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), has now made it easier than ever to create and verify your account digitally with an E-National ID. All you need to do is follow these steps:

  1. Visit this site of PSA and input your details
  2. Take a selfie and download your E-National ID
  3. Upload the E-National ID in GCash to verify your account
