Karate instructor arrested for robbery in Parañaque

Members of the Parañaque City Police arrested a karate instructor after breaking into and robbing a house in Barangay Tambo on Saturday, October 12.

The Southern Police District (SPD) immediately conducted an operation against the armed suspect identified as “Davy” following a robbery complaint filed against him by his victim.

According to the police investigation, the suspect suddenly entered the victim's house at gunpoint and stole a gadget, an iPhone, and cash amounting to P5,000.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang said police officers were able to track and arrest the suspect using a global positioning system (GPS) from the victim’s stolen mobile phone in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility and being charged for robbery and illegal possession of firearms, resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, and access device regulation act.
