21 young architecture graduates join Angat Buhay's internship program

The Angat Sining Arkitektura Internship Program marks a turning point for aspiring architects to realize their dreams

For these aspiring architects, the dream of shaping spaces is now within reach. Selected for the Angat Sining Arkitektura Internship Program by the Angat Buhay Foundation for 2024-2025, they are stepping into an extraordinary opportunity. This program bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world practice while nurturing their talent and fostering a commitment to ethical design and social responsibility.

“We are proud to have 21 aspiring and promising future architects on board who are set to embark on a unique journey focused on collaboration, character building, and the values of environmental health and safety,” the organization shared on its Facebook page.

The Angat Sining Arkitektura Internship Program has brought together 21 talented young architecture graduates from all corners of the country, each with a unique story. Hailing from Zamboanga City to Batangas, they share a common dream: to design spaces that reflect their communities.

The selected interns include:

  • Fritz Janelle Cabanes (Cebu Institute of Technology - University, Compostela, Cebu)
  • Alyssa Vera Caño (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Lucena City, Quezon Province)
  • Sean Ferry Dela Cruz (National University - Manila, Navotas City)
  • Joselle Marie Esportuno (Iloilo Science and Technology University, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo)
  • Kish Amiel Faune (University of Santo Tomas, Pasay City)
  • Maria Lucille Faustino (Cavite State University, Dasmariñas, Cavite)
  • Jean Edsel Gonzalbo (University of the Philippines - Diliman, Quezon City)

The program's official launch on August 9 featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with Atty. Leni Robredo and key partners, including C.C. Buencamino Architect, the UST College of Architecture Alumni Association, Inc., and the National University Philippines College of Architecture. This collaboration highlights the program’s commitment to excellence and community impact, creating a rich learning environment for the selected interns. The aspiring architects were announced on October 1, followed by their induction on October 11 at the United Architects of the Philippines headquarters, which will also host the upcoming Arki sessions.
