2 robbery-holdup suspects arrested in Rizal


Members of the Teresa Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested two men who robbed a man in Barangay San Roque, Teresa, Rizal, on Thursday, October 10.

Authorities identified the suspects as “Edmon” and “Brian,” both residents of Taytay, Rizal. They were nabbed during a hot-pursuit operation conducted by the intelligence unit of the Teresa MPS.

According to the victim, he was walking along La Trinidad in the said barangay when the suspects, who were on board a motorcycle, approached him, drew a gun, and declared a holdup.

The suspects took the victim’s wallet, watch, IDs, and money before immediately fleeing toward Antipolo City.

The incident was quickly reported, prompting the officers to conduct the operation in which they were able to spot the suspects along Zigzag Road in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City.

The authorities followed the suspects until they were arrested in Barangay San Juan in Taytay at around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.

They recovered from the suspects' possession a revolver, six pieces of ammunition, the victim’s belongings, and a motorcycle.

The suspects are now detained at the Teresa MPS and are facing robbery charges.
