Aboitiz Land, Inc. has announced the appointment of Rafael Fernandez de Mesa as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective Jan. 1, 2025, marking the return of the company's leadership to the Aboitiz family.
Fernandez de Mesa will be succeeding David Rafael, who will retire at the end of the year after serving as President and CEO for five years.
A fifth-generation Aboitiz family member, Fernandez de Mesa brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as Head of Economic Estates at Aboitiz InfraCapital. His leadership has been instrumental in the success of these thriving industrial parks, which now span nearly 2,000 hectares and have attracted significant investments.
Prior to his current role, Fernandez de Mesa spent 10 years at Aboitiz Land, holding various leadership positions across different business units. He also holds directorships on the boards of Aboitiz Land, Aboitiz InfraCapital, and Aboitiz Construction.
With Fernandez de Mesa at the helm, Aboitiz Land is expected to continue its growth trajectory and play a significant role in the Aboitiz Group's vision to become the Philippines' first techglomerate.
