According to the city government, the contribution was part of the DILG's recognition of Caloocan's consistent performance in the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) assessment.

The donated equipment include computer sets, welding and facial machines, gas ranges, and smart TV screens, was handed to the Caloocan City Manpower Training Center (CCMTC) to enhance its free livelihood courses.

Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan highlighted that nearly 4,000 individuals have already secured employment through the CCMTC's programs.

He added that with the new equipment, the trainees are expected to grow, further empowering residents with valuable skills.

As of now, almost four thousand individuals have started finding employment thanks to the skills they learned from the CCMTC programs, and this number will continue to grow with the new equipment we have received),” he said.

Malapitan expressed his gratitude to the DILG for its continued support and for recognizing Caloocan's excellent governance.

A heartfelt thank you to the DILG, not only for continuously recognizing Caloocan as one of the cities in the Philippines with excellent and transparent governance but also for helping us further strengthen our programs for the livelihood and well-being of the people of Caloocan),” Malapitan said.

“Asahan po ninyo na sa ilalim ng aking administrasyon, hindi tayo makakampante na marami na tayong ginagawa para sa ikabubuti ng mga mamamayan, kundi mas lalo pa tayong nagsusumikap na pagandahin pa ang ating mga nasimulan (Rest assured that under my administration, we will not become complacent just because we have already done a lot for the welfare of the people. Instead, we will work even harder to improve and build upon what we have started),” he added.
