The initiative was a response to requests raised by school principals and teachers that were raised during the people’s Day in Barangay caravans.

The local government said that the transport vans also aim to enhance the efficiency of school operations, allowing them to focus more on delivering quality education and better engaging with the community.

Mayor Gatchalian express gratitude to educators, highlighting their role in providing quality education during the ceremony that was held on National Teacher’s Day.

“In celebration of teacher’s day, ang ating pagbigay-pugay sa ating mga teachers ay bilang pasasalamat sa inyong paghahatid ng dekalidad na edukasyon para sa ating mga kabataan (In celebration of teacher’s day, our tribute to the teachers serves as our gratitude for their endless sacrifices in delivering quality education to our students),” he said.

“Hindi po sapat ang ganitong mga sasakyan dahil importante po kung ano ang hinaharap para sa ating edukasyon kaya abanagn po ninyo ang ating bagong central kitchen, at tatlong bagong ValACE sa Barangay Gen. T. De Leon, Marulas, at Mapulang Lupa (These vehicles are not enough, that is why we are also building the new central kitchen and three ValACE in Barangays Gen. T. De Leon, Marulas, and Mapulang Lupa),” the mayor added.

The event was also attended by Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, city councils, Valenzuela Schools Division Superintendent Noel Bagano, Student Parent Teacher Association (SPTA) President Marianne Fabon, school heads and principals, teachers, and SPTA officers.

The city government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the education sector and enhancing the learning environment for students and staff.
