With over two decades of experience as a lawyer, Pizarras vowed to bring transformative change to the district, particularly for the marginalized sector.

“Ako ang inyong tigpanalipud (I am your defender),” Pizarras said in a statement after filing his COC.

The lawyer emphasized that his decision to run stemmed from witnessing injustices faced by the underprivileged in Bohol.

"Justice should not only be for the rich, but for everyone, regardless of economic status," he said.

Throughout his legal career,  Pizarras successfully represented top corporations, defended landmark cases in the Supreme Court, and worked on pro-bono cases for non-government organizations, religious groups, and the disenfranchised.

Career highlights include quashing billion-peso tax claims, winning environmental cases under the Writ of Kalikasan, including the case against the officials of Barangay Bil-isan, Panglao, Bohol, and securing favorable rulings in corporate disputes.

Pizarras’ platform seeks to address several critical needs of the first district of Bohol such as ensuring cheap and reliable electricity to eliminate brownouts, providing accessible and clean water for all residents, promoting affordable food prices, particularly fish and meat, expanding livelihood programs for women, increasing benefits for senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities, (PWDs), offering scholarships and athletic programs for the youth, and creating more job opportunities within the district.

“I am deeply committed to improving the quality of life for every Boholano in the first district," said Pizarras. "We deserve better access to essential services, more opportunities for our youth, and stronger support for our women, senior citizens, and PWDs.”

The incumbent congressman of the first district of Bohol is Rep. Edgar Chatto.
