A teenage boy died after being hit and run over by a trailer truck along Quirino Highway in Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City, on Wednesday, October 2.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the trailer truck driver as Freddie Gersava, 46, a resident of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
According to the police report, at around 10 a.m., the victim, around 15 years old, was crossing the highway when he was hit by the truck. He was dragged for several meters before the vehicle came to a stop.
Responding police found the boy's body trapped under the wheel of the truck.
Later in the evening, the truck company and the victim’s family reached a settlement agreement regarding the incident, police said.
