Former Rep. Ricky Sandoval files COC for congressman of Malabon City


Former Representative Ricky Sandoval filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for congressman of Malabon lone district at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) NCR office in San Juan City on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Sandoval was accompanied by his wife, incumbent Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval.

"We want to make life better para sa mga Malabueños (for Malabon residents) in terms of legislation and in terms of education, and of course sa (in terms of) health. Priority ko really is to put up affordable housing para sa (for the) city, and siyempre (off course) I want  to improve health care," he said.

Sandoval runs under Team kakampi led by Mayor Jeannie.

"Sa lahat ng mga Malabueño, I hope na masuportahan ang Team Kakampi, led by our Mayor and Vice Mayor Edward Nolasco. Kami po ay isang grupo na nagkakaisa para masiguro na ang ating mga agenda sa lungsod ay masunod at nagkakaisa rin para maisulong natin ang pabahay at ang mabuting pamumuhay dito sa ating lungsod (To all Malabueños, I hope you support Team Kakampi, led by our Mayor and Vice Mayor Edward Nolasco. We are united to ensure that our agendas in the city are followed and promote housing and good living here in our city)," Sandoval said.

The city's first gentleman, who is also the current chairman of the Philippine Red Cross Malabon City Chapter, served as the representative of Malabon and Navotas from 1998-2007, and the same post in Malabon from 2016-2019.
