Zamboanga City cops rewarded P200,000 for arrest of 2 gunmen


ZAMBOANGA CITY – Mayor John Dalipe here handed over a P200,000 cash reward at the Zamboanga City Police Office on Monday, September 30, to two police commanders for the capture of suspects in three shooting incidents recently.

A P100,000 cash reward was given to the Zamboanga City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Capt. Royland Cordero for capturing Khyser Daris, the suspect in the murder of former Barangay Cawit Captain Serbelyo “Beyong” Molina who was gunned down on December 1, 2023.  

Daris is also the suspect in the murder of a 21-year-old man. He was arrested during a buy-bust operation where P1.3-million worth of illegal drugs was seized.

Dalipe also handed over a P100,000 cash reward to Police Station 1 commander Jova Agustin for the arrest of Dioscoro Memces Tesio Jr., the suspect in a shooting incident in Vitali where Denis Alfaro dela Torre was killed.

Dalipe commended the Zamboanga City Police Office led by Police Col. Kimberly Molitas for their accomplishments and reiterated his order to arrest all suspects in shooting and other criminal incidents here.
