Uneventful: No bets file COCs in 16 towns in Quezon


LUCENA CITY, Quezon – No candidate filed Certificates of Candidacy for mayor, vice mayor, and Sangguniang Bayan in 16 towns in this province in the first day of filing on Tuesday, October 1.

The Commission on Elections-Quezon said these towns were Agdangan, Buenavista, Burdeos, Catanauan, Dolores, General Luna, Gumaca, Jomalig, Mauban, Padre Burgos, Panukulan, San Antonio, Sariaya, Unisan, Tiaong, and Tagkawayan.

No candidates for governor, vice governor, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan also filed COCs on Monday at the Comelec-Quezon office at the newly renovated capitol building here.

Chairs were well arranged and unoccupied until closing time.

The Comelec-Quezon said all towns in this province had candidates for mayor, vice mayor, and municipal council, the four congressional districts, vice governor, and governor in the 2022 elections.

This province has 39 towns and two cities and four congressional districts.
