The Cooperative Development and Coordinating Division (CDCD) spearheaded the event, which started with a motorcade, salu-salo, and coop singing contest attended by representatives of the city’s registered cooperatives.

Para sa inyo po ang mga programang nakalatag ngayong Coop Month at titiyakin natin na matutulungan kayo ng pamahalaang lungsod sa inyong mga pangangailangan (Thank you very much to CDCD and all the cooperatives in our city. The programs laid out this Coop Month are for you and we will make sure that the city government can help you with your needs),” Mayor Along Malapitan said.

I am aware that there are small and new cooperatives in our city, that is why we will continue to strengthen our programs so that we can focus on the growth of your organizations, and of course, this also includes the development of your members and the communities you serve),” he added.

Malapitan encouraged the residents to support the local cooperatives in their endeavors.

The CDCD will assist the cooperatives in getting requirements for registration in different government agencies, and further improve their management and financial capabilities.
