Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar proudly said that the carriage used by the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno was produced by Sarao Motors located in the city.

Aguilar said Sarao Motors is an automotive company that specialized in designing, engineering, and manufacturing jeepney, the most popular mode of transportation in the Philippines.

She said the carriage used in the Traslacion is bullet proof and thousands of devotees can see the image of Nuesto Padre Jesus Nazareno clearly because of the interior lights that were installed.

The chief of the Las Piñas City Tourism and Cultural Office Paul Ahljay San Miguel said the Quiapo Church leadership held a contest for the new design of the carriage of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno for the Feast of the Black Nazarene on Jan. 9, which carried the theme: “Ibig naming makita si Hesus (We want to see Jesus).”

San Miguel said Aguilar was happy and proud upon learning that the new carriage design for the Nuestro Padre Jseus Nazareno was again given to Sarao Motors.

He said the same company created the carriage used in the Traslacion from 2010 to 2020.
