BACOLOD CITY – A former seaman died after his motorcycle crashed into a motorcycle and a multi-cab in Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Saturday, January 6.
Police identified the victim as Rodvel Son, 48, of Barangay Suba, Calatrava.

Police Major Ronald Santillan, Calatrava police chief, said Son lost control of his motorcycle while he was on his way home on the curved part of the road and rammed the two vehicles.
Santillan said Son might have not estimated his speed that caused him to swerve and hit the parked vehicles.
The victim was not wearing a helmet and sustained head injuries, Santillan said.
