The fiery veteran mentor said it was disrespectful for the former NBA player to go behind the bench of the other team, especially that ROS also has its staff sitting in the same area.

“We were surprised he was behind our bench nagulat kami bakit sya nandoon. I mean that’s disrespectful, totally disrespectful,” said Guiao, who figured in a verbal spat with Hollis-Jefferson during that sequence.

“I don’t know if I’ve seen that in 33 years of my coaching in the PBA: somebody in the heat of the game just goes behind your bench. That's our area and it’s not only behind our bench; we have staff behind our bench. That’s a dangerous thing to pull,” he added.

Hollis-Jefferson's actions seemed to have stemmed to a technical foul called on his brother Rahlir due to continuous complaining after being called for a foul against ROS import Tree Treadwell.

The younger of the Hollis-Jeffersons looked like he was talking to the referee when he got into an altercation with the ROS bench when he was being asked to retreat back to the side of TNT.

“Di ko alam kung anong nangyari sa kanya... Di ko alam kung anong ginagawa non,” said Guiao.

“Maayos naman yung laro. Actually, it was a beautiful game. It was a nice game. I think the fans would love a game like that, maybe just get emotional or frustrated but you don’t take it out that way,” he added.

Even Treadwell tried to help pacify things as he was seen talking to Rondae while he was being restricted by some of his teammates on the side of TNT bench.

“Just staying professional and keeping his head. I’ve been with Rondae for years. We've been playing professional basketball against each other from country to country so I know him,” Treadwell shared when asked what he told Hollis-Jefferson.

“He’s kind of a friend and a peer of mine so I’m just telling to keep his head, be smart and be professional in the end,” he added.
