Lisa Frankenstein, one of the most anticipated movies this year, has finally released its official trailer.

Filipino fans cheered for Liza Soberano who plays a cheerleader in the upcoming Hollywood film scheduled to open in US cinemas on Feb. 14.

The film is Liza's Hollywood debut. Directed by Zelda Williams, the movie stars Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse. It is written by Diablo Cody.

"The movie is a coming-of-rage love story from acclaimed writer Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body) about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse," Focus Features said in its synopsis.

It added: "After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way."

"Lisa Frankenstein" was also among Rolling Stone's 50 Most Anticipated Movies of 2024.

“True love may mean never having to say you’re sorry, but it unfortunately does mean you have to occasionally murder folks to keep your reanimated soul mate alive and intact,” Rolling Stone wrote.
