New spare parts for the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) have arrived and are expected to boost the operation of the railways system, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said on Thursday, Jan. 4.
In a Facebook post, the DOTr said those delivered spare parts are air conditioning parts, wheels and gearboxes, and electronic parts of trains.
Since the beginning of 2018, the MRT-3 experienced 34 glitches, 22 of which caused an electrical issue in the train's motor.
This year, the MRT-3 technical personnel guarantee that all parts are in adequate quantity and quality to maintain the line's seamless operation and comfortable travel for all passengers.
